Yesterday I not only had the pleasure to hangout with good friends. On my way home I decided to stop at my favorite pizza place in downtown Reno. After working all day and a good show I was hungry. I parked my car like a woman on a mission. Ran across the street and as I ran passed a homeless person, I suddenly felt my feet shift to a reverse motion. I asked the man if he had eaten dinner. Knowing the answer to my question, he replied no man. I asked and why not? He said he was trying to make some money to hopefully be able to eat. I replied with what type of pizza do you like and soda? Pepperoni it was and Pepsi. I asked him to join me for dinner. Not knowing anything about this man and not judging on his faults, I bought him two slices of pizza and a soda. His smile lit up the dark streets and that my friends completed my day as a fulfillment of lending a hand to a total homeless stranger. How he opened up to me and told me his life story, I couldnt helpt but to count my blessings. Did you know homeless shelters are full? Turned away time and time again, so he said......my heart goes out to you my homeless friend. I told him I would be back to check on him and that he better get himself straight. He couldnt thank me enough and I told him he can thank me later when I interview him for a documentary Im working on. Its been long time coming and I think this topic will blow you away my friends.
