Yesterday I posted a virtual choir of Carmelite nuns singing a beautiful setting of St. Teresa of Avilas most famous poem, Nada Te Turbe. Today I was going to post my other favorite version, written and sung by the amazing Italian musician GIUNI RUSSO, but I discovered that Giunis page had already posted it, so Im just reposting it from hers. As I said last night, St. Teresa was one of the most extraordinary mystics of all time, and today, Oct. 15th, is her Feast Day (birthday) and begins the year-long celebration of the 500th anniversary of her birth. Giunis version of this poem I think captures the very Spanish passion that Teresa embodied all her life.
