Yesterday, I posted that the various Muslim sects should come out to condemn the killing in Gaza rather than taking the bags of rice and sugar from the Israeli Ambassador. Some few hours after the post. I received some messages clarifying the issues surrounding the receiving of the items. Let me quote what I received that is supposedly from the PA of the Office of the National Chief Imam His Eminence the National Chief Imam of Ghana strongly condemns the killing of innocent people in Gaza (163 persons) according to BBC this morning. H.E. is also not fully aware of the donation received on his behalf and he vehemently expressed his dissatisfaction on receiving the donation considering the fact that innocent Muslims are being massacred by the actions and or inaction of the donor in Palestine while we stand and show our solidarity with the Palestinians. We however, appeal to everyone to exercise patience with us till we conclude our fact findings into how the donation came by and what really happened. Alhaji Khuzaima M. Osman, PA to the Nat. Sec. of IPASEC and SONSETFUND I read this morning too that the Office of the AhluSunnah Wal Jammah also came out and this is what I read The Truth is that those who brought the invitation knew where it was coming from but decided to say it is Colombian Embassy and since we have nothing against Colombia the Imams honoured the invitation. It was at the Colombia place that it appeared it was not Colombia but Israel at a point everything had been done and probably even posted on the web. As to what is the motive, Allah knows best but the harm had already been done so let’s look for solutions My checks also revealed that some people in both offices championed the agenda without the notice of the religious heads. If this is so, then we wait to see what the offices will do about that but I was informed by one of the officers this morning that the office of AhluSunnah Wal Jammah has not touched the bags of rice and sugar and are ready to send them back to where they came from. Allah save us and protect us from all evil doers.
