Yesterday I put a post out about my wife having left me: Heres the exact post I miss my wife Samantha Nicole Trammell) - I wish she hadnt left me ;( Now, Sam did leave me....she left the house to take baby Nash and Mark to visit with mamaw.....and sooooo, I was missing her. The initial post looked as if Sam and I had split up and could have been negative, but the truth of it all was this: The post was EXTREMELY positive: I miss Samantha even when she leaves to run to the local store that is less than 1 mile from our house even. I love Samantha...she and I are fine, and this was an EXAMPLE of the POWER of ASSUMPTION at work. Soooooo many people just ASSUME the negative, even when this was meant positively. I can honestly say this: I can tell what kind of mindset someone has by how they choose to view things. If you immediately gravitate toward the negative from a post that could be either / or, then youre a human being that is in a negative state of being, and sadly, the majority responded as though Sam and I had split. What is the lesson? NEVER ASSUME just because something appears a certain way.....Now, some reached out and were genuinely concerned for our well-being, and that is to be appreciated, but to not KNOW what is truly happening and make an ASSUMPTION is and always will be WRONG. I was told once that people who ASSUME, always make an ASS out of U and ME.
