Yesterday I received a copy of a beautiful book En Rik Historia Om ROM OCH CHOKLAD (Swedish for...and Im guessing..A Rich History on Rum and Chocolate) by my gorgeous, handsome and very talented friend, Duane Dove who has re-created a most successful organic traditional cocoa plantation in Tobago that falls right into the plan of eco-tourism. Ia Orre is the co-author. One of my photos of a Jerk stand in Jamaica graces a full page and I am so honoured. Duanes divine chocolate is made in France with his own cocoa, a one-bean production that is melt-in-ya-mouth, and he pairs chocolate with aged rums during his seminars. I fell in love with Duane the first time I saw and heard him speak in St. Lucia - if theres one man that was fully cognizant of my dream for the Caribbean, it was Duane. Duane lives between Sweden and Tobago with occasional trips through Barbados...I wish this book was in English Duane...congratulations...I love it! However for those who speak Swedish...it is a must! Oh! The glasses in the last photo, produced by Duane, designed by a Swedish designer, are the only rum-tasting glasses in da world....CARIBBEAN PEOPLE CAN REALLY DO IT...if they so desire.
