Yesterday, I received a gift from an amazing friend of mine. Jim - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I received a gift from an amazing friend of mine. Jim Zajicek, one of the modern day heavy hitters in the sideshow and circus world respectively. It is an antique, nickel plated car axel. That, by itself doesnt sound like much. But this specific type of axel is often used as tent stakes for circus and sideshow tents. Still, not a terribly special thing, just a hunk of recycled metal that gets pounded into the ground over and over again. This one is different though. Sure, it was on a Model-T around 100 years ago and it was then later used to hold up tents. This one, is meant to be swallowed. Im humbled and honored that Jim wanted to pass this on to me. It means so much. There is one other axel like it and it belongs to John Red Lawrence Stuart (the first contemporary sword swallower to swallow an axel) it was also given to him by Jim. Also, thanks to Inky for helping Jim get it to me safely.
