Yesterday I received some sad news. Timothy Keeler passed away. I was sad because not only did a great man die, but someone that only at that moment did I realize was more than a fan. He was a friend. He was a huge supporter of the band but was also a caring nice guy outside of that too. I never truly looked at him as a friend until it was too late. One thing you really get to learn when you do what I do is the value of time. Me and the guys do a lot of traveling. We spend a lot of time away. We meet a lot of people. Its hard to prioritize everything and when you get home and see the numbers on the calendar its hard to realize how many days have passed. How long its been since youve seen family or friends. How long its been since youve said something you need to say to somebody. Someone like Tim reaches out to you and checks on you and makes you feel like a normal person while youre doing things that a normal person doesnt do. I wish I could have gave back more for Tim and I regret not being a better friend to him. The good news is Heaven always sounded really boring to me, but now that Tim is there Im sure its a lot more fun! I send my condolences to Tims family and friends. Its sad that we only lose the good ones.
