Yesterday....I said goodbye to a dear old friend. My old cat Baxter is no longer with us. He was a good friend to us for 17 years. He hadnt been around for a couple of days...and we found him under our porch. His body was frail, he was going deaf and I dont think his respiratory system was what it use to be. He had a run in one night with a skunk...and was sprayed. I dont know if this attributed to his death or not...but I did read..that in smaller dogs...the spray can coat the inside of their lungs causing death. I got up this morning looking for him out the kitchen window...then remembered he was gone. I will miss him. But I know now, that he is in heaven with my beloved Marigold.
