Yesterday, I spent the most delightful afternoon with Flavil Nichols. Born in 1919, this 94 year old warrior of the cross is living with his daughter and son-in-law, Don and Peggy Champion, in Northeast Huntsville, Alabama. We enjoyed reminiscing about days long since past, mostly centering around his father. He taught me a few magic tricks he learned from his dad probably 70 years ago. It is a joy to spend any time in the presence of greatness. We prayed together before Jenny and I departed. He reminds me so much of how great heaven will be! God is good!
