Yesterday, I spoke on the House floor to honor the life of Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Ferguson. Sgt. Ferguson grew up in Polk County and attended Mulberry High School. He joined the Army and served with distinction in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. Last week, on April 2, Sgt. Ferguson was shot and killed while on base at Fort Hood, in a tragedy that left three victims killed and 16 more wounded. Tara and I send our deepest condolences to the families of Sgt.
