Yesterday, I took my wife to a doctors appointment. The receptionist asked for our $50 copay. When I took a $50 bill out of my wallet and handed it to her, she refused: We do not take cash; only check or credit card. Just when I think I have seen it all, someone trumps it with something even dumber. I explained a primary rule of business to her, though it did no good: When the customer wants to give you money, dont make it difficult.
