Yesterday, I updated my status with something that many people found mildly offensive, rude, and very judgmental. I did that on purpose. I am taking a course in interpersonal conflict. We study how backgrounds, perceptions, and styles of conflict can have an affect on how we personally deal with it. This was part of a social experiment. Many of my friends and family found this status out of character for me, and they were correct. I figured there was no better way than to create a "conflict" on social media, and see what manifests. It was interesting to see what people perceived I was "hating" on, their perception of the status and events, and the manner/style in which they dealt with this perceived "conflict". If I offended you- I apologize. Thanks to all of those involved for unknowingly being my research subjects!!
