Yesterday I walked to the outdoor market to buy some eggs and curd. At the curd shop there is a temple and because Tihar is coming this week, there was a lot of activity with people busy cleaning, scrubbing, and painting the temple and I stopped for a moment to watch them. On my walk home I passed a street vendor who was selling vegetables, the best-looking vegetables I have seen this year. They were firm, fresh, and didnt have rotten spots on them. I bought carrots, green peppers, cucumber, potatoes, garlic, onions, cauliflower, and beautiful firm tomatoes. I got home, washed them and was so excited to cut them up and eat them! I stood in my little kitchen, a soft wind was blowing my curtains as I cut vegetables, and I could hear some great 60s music coming in on the breeze from the bar down the street. I made the best vegetable soup I have had in a very long time and ate until I was stuffed. Sometimes the best moments come on a soft breeze and surprise me :)
