Yesterday I was invited to the launch of ‘Achieve It’ a Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special magazine produced by the pupils and teachers Ysgol Pen-y—Bryn Special Needs School here at Swansea. The launch was held at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay right opposite the Doctor Who studios in Roath Loc and was attended by the teachers and their gifted pupils, along with the lovely Sarah Louise Madison and Matthew Doman. I also had the opportunity to meet the lovely Mar Hunt and his team who work for the fantastic Character Options who sponsored the magazine. I can tell you that the magazine is very professionally produced with interviews with Anthony Head, Brian Blessed, William Russell, Katy Manning, Russell T Davies, Dan Starkey, Sophie Aldred, Rula Lensa, Mike Collins who did the artwork for the magazine, Anjli Mohindra, Louise Jameson, Bonnie Langford, Helen Griffin, Mike Tucker, Sarah Louise Madison, Yee Jee Tso and the lovely Anneke Wills! The Wales first minister Carwyn Jones was clearly impressed and made a great welcoming speech to launch the magazine which will be on sale by the teachers and pupils at this years Regenerations priced at a remarkably cheap £3.50 with all proceeds being donated to the Welsh Air Ambulance. I was extremely impressed by the quality and I am sure we all will be purchasing this fantastic publication in aid of a very good cause. I will also auction a signed copy with all of our guests at this years Regenerations to donate to the schools chosen charity. Well done and than you Ysgol Pen-y—Bryn!
