Yesterday I was looking at a video of a train journey in Bangladesh where thousands of people were travelling on the roof and I posted that video in LinkedIn apparently looking for some management discussion on improving the operations management or services management related to this topic. The train was carrying participants of the Tablig Jamat from Bisho Ijtema back home. Then I remember a small incident that happened when I met one member of Tablig Jamat long time ago, who after introduction tried to prove how pointless, worthless, valueless my worldly education is. Punching a few Arabic words he tried to humiliate my whole existence and prayed for my enlightenment. He tried to encourage me to denounce my track and follow his track. If that guy goes to heaven he might argue that his efforts were well planned and I chose the wrong path of worldly knowledge. Now why should I care if these people travel on a train roof and use my worldly knowledge to think about better operations and services? Why cant they feel the need of operations management and services management while standing on the roof of a speeding train? I should simply turn my face from this video and totally forget about the welfare of these commuters who do not accept me because of my worldly education and in any future cross-road will say the same. I appreciate the grace of the creator and but these worldly knowledge haters spit on the technology they use. They hate what they need or they need what they hate and why should I take some hatred trying to fulfil their needs? Thus no more thoughts ever on the trains of Bangladesh.
