Yesterday, I went out to my car, turned the key - nothing but clicking. First thought was a dead battery. I opened the hood and saw a lot of corrosion built up around the negative post. I did not have a post cleaner, so I just took a screwdriver and scraped the best I could and reattached the cable. Same thing. Just clicking. We borrowed the in-laws vehicle and jumped it off and drove to Advanced Auto. The young guy came out put a meter on the battery and said; It (the meter) says it is not getting connection. So he goes back into the store and comes out with a post and terminal cleaner and a spray liquid and proceeds for the next 5 minutes to clean the posts, terminal connection and removed all of the corrosion. Then he asks me to try it. I turned the key and it fired up perfectly. I was hoping it wasnt something more serious like a faulty alternator, but all it all came down to a little corrosion that was preventing a good connection. Sometimes we too have a little corrosion built up in our lives and it affects our connection with the power that comes from God. This is where true, genuine repentance comes in. If your prayers are not getting answered, or you feel that you have lost connection to the power available to you, I suggest a through cleansing. Get on your knees before a Holy God and ask if there is anything in your life that is keeping you from all that He has for you. Maybe its a fit of rage, unforgiveness, lusts or perhaps you are allowing other things to take time away from Him. Perhaps a little cleaning is all that is needed and you can walk in the freedom, power and authority that God has determined for you to walk in. Seek Him today. Do a fresh introspection of your life, then pick up your cross, follow Him and endure until the end.
