Yesterday, July 11, I brought 3 puppies to the vet because they were vomiting severely and having foul-smelling diarrhea. I thought it was a bad reaction to the Deworming done last July 10. I was afraid of them getting dehydrated. But upon arriving at Pet Bureau they told me they might have Parvo. They tested positive on the Parvo test. I just read on the internet that Parvovirus usually trigger 3-6days after being infected. Triggers can be because of a stressful environment or a recent vaccination that weakens their immune system. Before deworming, they were all fine, except for Dutch whom I had dewormed a day before the rest. Dutchs appetite and energy was restored right after deworming. Even now. I was afraid of others having worms so I had them vaccinated. The day after their vaccination they started getting sick. :( Yesterday I only had 4-5hrs sleep. Last night only 1hour. In fact, I was only able to sleep once Liza (our current maid) was awake. I slept from 5:30 - 6:30. I dont know why, but I always seem to be present when the puppies go. I was supposed to give Precious her medicine when I saw her in near-dying stage. With Kiev, it was his feeding time. It was very hard to see them suffering. It was even more hard to watch them dying. But I felt I owe it to them to stay so they wont die alone. 2 days in a row. I am super emotionally drained and sleep-deprived. ;( George and Dutch still seem fine. They have a healthy appetite, lots of energy spent playing. Mapple however started getting sick last night. She doesnt want to stay in the bathroom. She keeps knocking the barrier down and disrupting Kievs rest. So I moved her to the 3rd floor with bes Joy Zerreitug. She didnt eat. And still not eating. I check her gums today, its pale. So I told Liza to disinfect the 3rd floor so I could put George and Dutch there and bring Mapple downstairs so I could watch over her. Now I have a new patient, Mapple. :(
