Yesterday, Lake Wanaka tourism board called me : Hey Johan, keen to go on a helicopter trip and land on a glacier? Hell yeah Im keen !!! It was a great summer day today. Blue sky, great visibility and 30°C. Perfect conditions to fly over the breathtaking Mt Aspiring National Park. I got really close to some glaciers (there are more than a thousand of those in the region) and landed on Isobel Glacier. Still cant believe what I saw. I was just speechless ! Many thanks to Aspiring Helicopters and Lake Wanaka for making all that possible !
