Yesterday Peyton Manning signed for us fans before he went inside as a Guest on the David Letterman Show. I included a photo of papparazzi surrounding him with cameras & mikes, security on all sides, and fans pushing, rushing him, and extending items on top of us fans in the front row. After Peyton signed the silver label I gave him and he heard that I appreciated it and it will be placed on a nice photo of him to go with the autographed photo of his Dad, Archie Manning, (that I got in Atlanta years ago at the NFL Experience held before the Superbowl for the Cowboys and Bills;) he had to step back for some clearance in order to place the autographed label safely in my hand. He was so sweet to be sure no one else grabbed it because several were trying, which is an even newer twist against the fans. Some people bombard celebs to obtain autographs to sell. Apparently, now if they dont squeeze out the 2 or 3 autographs they want from each celeb; they steal autographs belonging to fans there. Next Shailene Woodley arrived, but did not come over or sign or pose for photos. Rick Springfield held a booksigning at Union Square. Instead of talking about the book and answering questions, he played the guitar and sang songs he had written. It was wonderful. Years ago, when I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he was the entertainer there and I went to his extravagant concert and enjoyed it. Hundreds of fans came for his book release. While he signed his book, he posed with fans for photos.
