Yesterday Stories is an ambitious local Illawarra filmmaking project aiming to capture over 200 video stories of the Illawarra’s history. Please support you local heritage by liking & sharing their Facebook page :-) The Yesterday Stories project will also include audio, text, newspaper files and photos that will be available through a website and in future a smartphone application. Each piece of historical content will be mapped and linked to the associated physical landmark or location, enabling users to call up the digital history of a landmark or other location in Wollongong. Why Documentaries, a local company that is part of the University of Wollongong’s (UOW) iAccelerate initiative, will produce Yesterday Stories with the support of the UOW historian Dr Glenn Mitchell and the Illawarra History Workshop.
