Yesterday a severely malnourished, non-vaccinated, 10 months old baby girl brought to me at GD Jhurbi from Thar , I referred to the civil hospital paeds ward Mirpurkhas in emergency timely for proper labs and treatment after hospitalization, I often refer the cases but they never give us a feedback, I pre-instructed the mother to bring feed back form back on Thursday to me. The main reason of severe condition of the patient was poor dietary/weaning knowledge of mother,even she was giving bottle feed in non-proper also un-hygienic way. Therefore I come to the point that all the deaths after malnutrition are not due to unavailability of food or water but due to poor dietary knowledge & uneducated mothers.
