Yesterday, after 14 years with my best friend and the best furbaby girl anyone could ever wish for, I had to say goodbye to my sweet Suzy. People always told me when it was time, she would let me know. Now I know what that means. When I looked into her sweet little eyes, she was telling me should was done. She could barely walk and was barely eating and not drinking. It was torture watching the change that cushings disease put her body through. Its an evil disease with no cure. I chose to stay with her until the end. My face and my voice was the last thing she saw and heard. I like to believe ALL dogs go to heaven, as they are generally SO much better than people. I hope shes running around, playing with Toby, Sable and Fred.. free of all pain. Back here on earth, there is a HUGE void in my heart and my home. Theres an emptiness I cannot explain and the tears just seem to keep bursting out of me at random. She was a blessing in my life, that will never be replaced. RIP my sweet little girl. Ill love you forever. Thank you to everyone in this group for the support and I wish you and all your furbabies luck against this vicious disease.
