Yesterday, after posting a list of metronome using bass players, - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, after posting a list of metronome using bass players, then posting my own list of players I felt never used one, a familiar event, that of a profound objection from click aficionados appeared. I worked to answer questions.and comments factually, but the topic was too hot. Comments like passive-aggessive and a real Facebook rage was happening over my comments against using metronome. Berklee bass chair Steve Bailey joined the chat.I seem to be able to stir him up with my thoughts and told him my honest assessment of how he teaches. Others were not happy with our back and forth. To me, it was resembling the arguments of the past. I gave up on this kind of interaction but it was here again. To my credit, I stuck to the topics and answered comments clearly and with no unfalsifiabilities of any kind. In fact, it may have been my most clear and cool back and forth about music ed I ever had. At the end, seeing how others were not so relaxed and calm just inspired me to pull the plug on the whole thing. I wasnt here to get the last word. Some of my points are, for some reason, beyond the grasp of some Facebook members so I just pulled the plug on the whole thing. I told Steve straight out my thoughts on how he teaches music education. I didnt hold back anything, using his videos, our debates and Berklee classes, but was never rude. Also in a few other comments, you could see that people appeared close to losing it. To not push them too far, I took the whole thing down. Thanks to all who wrote your thoughts. Sorry Steve for winding you up. I seem to have this talent I hope to see people today in Dresdren if you have a need to learn how to play better, Anyone that remembers my words with Steve or anyone else, write me privately. I want to know how I did.
