Yesterday afternoon I had to drive into Winnipeg to run a couple - TopicsExpress

Yesterday afternoon I had to drive into Winnipeg to run a couple errands and drop someone off at the airport. It was an overcast/rainy afternoon. As I was leaving the drop off point at the airport, going east bound on the south end of the airport loop, I saw this 65 year old man standing by the bus stop. I figured He must be going somewhere in my direction so I pulled over, rolled the window down and asked if he wanted a ride. He says sure. We chat briefly and decide that it would be easy for me and in his favour if I swing on by Polo Park and he could catch the next bus there. You know, it was rainy, I was trying to be nice. He seemed like a trust worthy person. I used to hitch hike A LOT, so I still figure I owe the universe a few favours. I admit, I pick up hitch hikers sometimes. I have met all kinds of crazy and awesome people. This guy was a nice guy too. So anyway, we drive south, I get to the A&W by the mall, pull over to drop him off at the stop, wave, honk the horn and drive off. Not 5 minutes later I realized my ipod was missing from my centre console. SERIOUSLY? You take my ipod? Thats not cool man!! I still think its better to live in a way where I am constantly expecting people to be nice and honest and such, but taking my ipod? That gets my goat.
