Yesterday afternoon the Loso Lovas or the Fab 5 as some call us, spent the day on the East side of Joliet bringing winter comfort to dogs living outside. We delivered straw, hung tarps, prepared delicious warm meals, dropped bagged kibble and gave an abundance of love to those who needed it most. With the donations provided, we were able to make living outside a bit more bearable for 13 dogs. We did spend the majority of our afternoon with Loso. We knocked on the door, asked the owner for permission to enter the yard to distribute more straw, she agreed, thanked us and shut the door. Loso was ecstatic to have us. We shoveled his area clean and re-packed his dog house with new straw. He was given fresh water and a warm hearty meal. While we prepared his living area for the Chicago artic blast that is headed this way, he bounced around like a hot potato. He took full advantage of the love that all 5 of us were dishing out! From the smiles on our faces and his tail wags, the afternoon was well spent with great company.
