Yesterday afternoon, we were on our way to pick up our last child - TopicsExpress

Yesterday afternoon, we were on our way to pick up our last child from a school and we were quiet surprised to see police cars, an ambulance, and a fire truck at the road we had to turn on. As I looked, there was someone on the ground and there was a young woman dressed in her Halloween clothing being escorted in handcuffs to a police car. Wasnt expecting that at all. Then after we got all our children to their homes, we were coming down the mountain to pass the hearse that was carrying a little 7 year old girl to her grave sight. That was a real bummer. sadness overwhelmed us as we thought about the sadness of losing a child. We thought of the parents and family. Oh how their hearts were broken. The one wonderful thing is knowing where the little girl was. She is with Jesus. I know when my husband lost his son, the grief and the shock was just too much. Seeing his son in the bed where he died was overbearing. It is a picture that is eternally embedded in our mind. Death comes to all of us. We are not promised tomorrow. We are not promised even the next minute. The one thing we need to know is, where will we spend eternity. There are only two choices. I cannot imagine the grief of the little girls family. No one can ever prepare to lose their child. It seems like sometimes in the death process the family goes through, God gets the blame. It is His fault. some even curse God. Let this be an eye opening to those who have or are full of anger toward God for letting their love one die. For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) If God would give His only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins, to hang on a cross and be publicly scorned and beaten, for us so that we could be forgiven and live with Him forever when our appointed time comes, then why do we blame the one who loves us so much. He understands the pain of death. He understands the tears, the emptiness. He has been there. He knows. The good news is that Jesus came out of the grave and is in Heaven sitting at the right hand of His Father, and our Father. The best thing anyone can do is accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Repent from your sins. Live your life for Him. Death will come knocking at everyones door. The key is to be ready when the knock is answered. Everyone has an appointed time. Get ready, be ready, stay ready.
