Yesterday and many days before the devil kept telling me I wouldnt make it through Christmas. I didnt feel like participating in the day for all kinds of reasons, but I must say that I had a GREAT day. My house was filled with kids and family and we sat and talked and laughed and planned for the future. This family was my ex-husband and his wife and mother and sister and and his other sisters kids along with two of my kids and grandkids, my current mother-in-law, her young daughter and grandson. The mix was different but actually BEAUTIFUL. My first mother-in-law brought and prepared the fixings and I bought the two turkeys, my ex-husband brought the desserts and green bean casserole and we ate until we were tired. I had a beautiful day and Im eternally grateful that these people traveled from Louisiana to make the day possible. I am indeed blessed. Oh... Wait and I talked on the phone to a very interesting person who is seeming to awaken the sleeping giant in me. He made the day possible as well.
