Yesterday, as we were in the process of zip lining, it began to - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, as we were in the process of zip lining, it began to sprinkle. Small raindrops fell upon platform number three of our zip line adventure. This was the platform in which we all had a specific job to do. Our jobs were an effort to honor my mother by zip lining. Something she wanted to do prior to her death, but her weakening body did not allow it. The major part of the rain held off until after our adventure was over. After zip lining, we all gathered at a small Mom and Pop restaurant in the heart of Missouri for lunch. All twelve of us. I found it interesting that this small restaurant allowed smoking in the dining area. Something that is nearly unheard of now days. I made it a point to work on spoiling the little ones. After all, they are my great nieces and nephew. We shared secrets ( not polite at the dinner table, I know), and food. We shared hugs and smiles. I even had a moment where I told my niece that I have to few chances to spoil them, and requested she allow me this opportunity without them being in trouble. I am sure she wondered about whether or not this one time allowance would destroy all she has tried to teach them, but I can assure her, it will not. They will just know they have this one great Aunt who is fun loving, and full of smiles and laughter. And with this Aunt, crawling up on her lap for a hug, is a welcome activity. After we bid farewell, Jack and I went back to Lebanon. We began searching for the cemetery where my Grandparents on my fathers side are buried. We located the cemetery. By that time, it was raining with a soft, steady rain. I got out of the car, and began to search for them. I knew what the stone looked like, as if had located a photo of it online, but between the rain and the long day, I had to stop. .............
