Yesterday at Andal, an Eastern Coalfield Contractor was killed by a Trinamool leader, as the contractor was unwilling to pay money to the Trinamool leader. Similar incidents are taking place in West Bengal in last three years. However neither the State Government, nor the Police, is taking any steps against the culprits. It is a shame for the common people of West Bengal that the state government is going all out to protect Tapas Pal even after the order of the single bench of Honorable High Court. This again exposed the shameless role, the state government is playing, to protect the offenders. On Friday night, a gang of rowdies molested a Jadavpur University research scholar near Kalyani Simanta railway station. The molesters beat up her brother who tried to protest and save his sister. Whats more shocking, instead of tracking down the gang, Kalyani police spent all of Saturday questioning the girl about her relationship with the battered man and whether they were indeed siblings. Yesterday night, there was another incident, where a mother of two, was allegedly gang raped in Mahestala, South 24 Parganas. In last three years, atrocities against women has reached to a new height. Once Bengal was known as the paradise for women. During the era of Trinamool Government, Bengalees feel ashamed for the current situation of women in Bengal.
