Yesterday at around 6:00 oclock in the evening, my family back home had a nerve-wracking experience when the house of our next door neighbor went up in flames. What made the experience worse was when my sister called up the Talamban Fire Station, the nearest fire station to our place, she was told that their fire truck was not running, that it has been out of order! My sister was then referred to Lahug and Mabolo Fire Stations which are quite far from our place. Do you think this is acceptable? A public department which primary duty is to provide emergency firefighting and rescue operations was inutile at the time it was needed most. Sigh! Thank God the flames were put out by very helpful neighbors without the help of any career firefighters. Its about time we, Filipinos, asserted our rights and demanded whats due us from our government. Just sharing.......#sofrustrated #PhilippinesmyPhilippines
