Yesterday at church the question was brought up how do you remain faithful... As I heard the typical answers you normally hear (pray, read your scriptures, and go to church) I couldnt help but reflect on a few times in my life when I got discouraged and felt like giving up. The typical answers that we seem to always hear didnt help. As a matter of fact it felt more like drinking from an empty cup. I know that a lot of the reason for this was because of how much anger I harbor. This is something Im constantly working on everyday. I think for me the best answer to remaining faithful is my past experiences. The miracles I have seen in my life. The times I have seen or felt our Heavenly Fathers helping hand. The gifts and talents Ive been blessed with to accomplish amazing things. The wonderful family I have been blessed with and the amazing woman I have by my side to endure all of this with. I know Im a blessed man and because of this I lean on those blessings to give me strength through the rough times. I know Im not well educated in the gospel, but I also know from experience that there is a loving Heavenly Father who sent His Son to take upon Himself our sins so we could have the opportunity to return to our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the Atonement and what it mean to me and my family.
