Yesterday at the store my 8 year old educated herself on food - She was asking about the little debbie chocolate cupcakes with white frosting on top/filling (I never buy this stuff) - instead of just saying no the convo went like this: Mom: Sure. You can! If you can pronounce all of the ingredients and know what they are! Kiwi: REALLY!?!?!? (as she picks it up and flips it over) - Enri-ched Bleach flour... Bleach? Mono. .. .. . garble garble (cant pronounce) tr WHAT!??! Mom: Do you know what any of that is? Kiwi: Maybe I shouldnt put all this junk in my body Mom: Good choice Kiwi: your cupcakes have like 7 ingredients, and I know what they are! A short ways later. . . she was checking out Wonder bread ingredient list (again, dont buy this) Kiwi: HOLY COW MOM! This bread has like 15,000 ingredients! Your bread has only 5! Thank you for making yummy healthy things for us! MOM MISSION accomplished! Mom - 1 Corporate food of america - 0
