Yesterday evening at 5:55 pm I held my boy Junior as he took his last breath.. I was there the day he came into this world and took his first breath and I was there to hold him as he took his last. This has been so hard for me, Junior was a very special boy and had a huge place in my heart. Junior came into this world 11 years ago on august-20-2003, I remember that day so well, it was also my 30th birthday and Jules his mom had gave birth to 18 puppies, They was only 4 males out of the 18 puppies and Junior was the only male to live. I raised him and 9 of his sisters, I kept 3, Junior, his sister Harley who passed 6 years ago this month, and his other sister Kenzie who passed 2 years ago this past august. Junior was like our child, no other way to put it. He was very well behaved, very loving and could make me laugh even on my worse days. Everyone that ever met him loved him. He loved going for car rides, walks, his favorite toy was an old torn up ball and could chase that thing for hours. He also loved his laser light and would chase it and dig a hole in the ground after it for hours. He was such a smart boy, our vets loved Junior and always told me how well behaved he was and that they wished all their patients was so easy to do anything with like he was. Junior I know without a doubt had a great life, he was loved so very much and never needed anything, I always made sure he always had the best I could give him. I have stayed up many days and nights the past month by his side, when he no longer could walk upstairs to our bedroom I slept down here with him. He would never have left my side and I sure was not going to leave his when he needed me the most. I know in my heart we done everything we could to help Junior, and to make his last days as comfortable as possible, but it still does not take away the hurt. He has left behind 2 very special babies, Remy and Ava and I know they will make their daddy proud and be just as well behaved as he was. but they will never be another like him, he was one of a kind. We miss you so much Junior, you have our hearts forever! We will always love you!
