Yesterday i was leaving the second chance building forr fbi clearance in homewood and i saw a student i knew from friendship area. a young boy named k.c... k.c. is a sturdy looking 12 year old.. quiet.. doesnt bother anyone. and an athlete at that.. he chose to walk with me for small talk, not knowing that i was looking for a bus stop i would never find he said an interesting concern.. " i want to understand the bible and christianity. when i ask others i get answers that i just dont believe".. at this point im quite amazed that he was not swept away with false doctrine. he must truly have God holding his mind and desire for truth.. i asked him what answers was he told and much of it was no more that black hebrew israelite false doctrines. "white man is devil. black man is real jews. bible has been corrupt." the whole nine.. from there i gave him some advice and argumentive examples and he understood it quite well actually.. it was enough to help him understand that a real growing christian never strays from the bible being the authority of a christians belief. should any christian think less of the bible then you will quickly have a cult on your hands. we had a quick overview of common patterns in cults to better his understanding of the importance of knowing your bible and knowing early christian history. we walked all through homewood that day before i caught the bus. youth in the hands of God are truly encouraging sites to see.
