Yesterday i was supposed to join a two week course at hemel college that was arranged through the job centre. Unfortunately as one of my brood was poorly I was unable to attend the first day. I contacted both the job centre and the college to explain the situation and was told " no problem Mr Smith we will see you tomorrow". Great I thought as I ran the risk of losing benefit for a no show. I turn up at the college today ( the course starts at 9:30 each day) at 9:05 to be told that they were turning people away yesterday by 9:10 because too many had been booked onto the course and there was mo room. I am/was very grateful for the opportunity to attend such a course if only I could get through the door in the first place.
