Yesterday in Afghanistan, Major General Harold Greene was - TopicsExpress

Yesterday in Afghanistan, Major General Harold Greene was assassinated. He is the highest ranking member of the American military killed since 9/11. The first general killed on foreign soil since the Vietnam War. Fourteen more people were injured with seven being Americans. The general and his entourage were gunned down by an Afghan soldier who opened fire 100 yards away on our people at a military training academy. It was most likely a graduation or training inspection. My guess is the generals visit was a big deal and like we did a thousand times, soldiers were gathering listening to the general. Understand, there is no safety when the administration chooses to limit the rules of engagement and place restrictions on refusing access due to religious beliefs. They chose politics over soldiers every time. They do place restrictions on Born Again Christians in our ranks stating the are dangerous. They claim Islam is a religion of peace and need no oversight. This is a picture of incompetence. As of 1600hrs the day after the assassination, President Obama has yet to eulogize the general or recognize the service of these American heroes. There are no official statements and not even a smidgen of comforting commentary from our Commander and Chief. Silence from the head of the free world when his second in command in Afghanistan is assassinated. Just silence. Deafening silence! President Obama had a moment to show leadership and show the enemy that this is not going to fly. Once again, he chose not to show respect to the Armed Forces and to console General Greenes family. He chose not to tell the nation about the ultimate sacrifice made by this brave warrior and seven other heroic Americans. He could have stood tall....He chose to campaign for businesses to move to Africa instead. A two-star general is gunned down in cold blood, seven Americans injured and our commander in chief says nothing. When will Americans face the truth?
