Yesterday in Egypt, the trial began again after a 2 week adjournment, with another chance to defend the absurd charges of terrorism, and practising journalism without a permt..... Peter and his co-accused colleagues entered the room shackled together, and were held in a cage for the duration. Peter did not have an interpreter, other than his colleagues. The police investigators evidence: cameras, laptops, tripods, lights and secret information from the Hotel Marriott. A key witness for the prosecution was confused about just who employed Peter I dont understand media - Al-Jazeera English or Al-Jazeera Arabic - different channel, different management, different philosophies ... It is deplorable. And now the trial is adjourned for almost three more weeks, so that hotel records, employment records etc can be found. So Peter, Baheer and Mohammeds stay in a 3 x 4m cell, no privacy, and only one hour outside each day continues.
