Yesterday, in downtown Corpus Christi, I noticed a homeless elderly man missing a shoe and staggering down the sidewalk. He was suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration...we took care of him and gave him a pair of shoes and ended up calling for medical help. Come to find out, our wonderful CCPD officers had decided to kick him and others out of a shaded area (that no-one ever uses or walks by) with no thought to the 105 heat index...this got we to thinking. Are there any musicians/bands who would be up for raising money at a concert to donate ALL the money earned towards helping the shelters in our area?
