Yesterday marked 100 years since the start of the Great War, WW1. We stood at the memorials and at the cenotaph, laying wreaths, shedding tears and reciting the ode of remembrance. We mourned the loss of our young men and reflected on what we gained from there sacrifice. How many of us remembered those that came back? The ones that left their mark on those battlefields, left their youth, happiness, blood, limbs and minds behind. For many of those that came back from any war or conflict are still suffering and still at war everyday in their own lives. Many of them dont even talk about it and we dont even realise what they are going through. So next time you pause to reflect on those who died in war in the name of peace, also remember those who came back.
