Yesterday morning we had a visit from some lovely ladies from the Inner Wheel Club of Chelmer Bridge who had a special donation for us. To mark the landmark 90th anniversary of the ‘Inner Wheel’ organisation, all Clubs and Districts in Great Britain and Ireland were set the challenge of the ‘Wheels Project’; to make a donation in their own community with some kind of wheels. The Inner Wheel Club of Chelmer Bridge, which has eleven members who from the Chelmsford and Great Baddow areas, decided to rise to the challenge and came up with the idea of raising funds to purchase a rollator (a wheeled walking frame which gives additional support and stability when walking) to donate to Farleigh Hospice. Thank you to Ann Brunning, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Chelmer Bridge, and the other ladies for their support and their kind donation.
