Yesterday, officers and volunteers of the Irvine Police Department staffed two Drug Take Back locations in support of the Drug Enforcement Administrations (DEA) National Drug Take Back Event. A total of 19 boxes were filled by citizens dropping off unwanted medication for a total weight of 595 pounds. The medications collected were turned over to the DEA for proper disposal. Thanks to our friends at Kaiser Permanente for hosting one of the locations!
