Yesterday, on my birthday, I was walking from Mc Donalds and as I - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, on my birthday, I was walking from Mc Donalds and as I got across the street a homeless man, who appeared to be mentally ill, stopped in front of me, scratched his head and said, Excuse me maam, is there any chance I can take you out to dinner or a movie? You look awfully beautiful. He said it so fast, it took me two seconds to process all those words that came out of his mouth. I then replied, Ohh, no, Im sorry...I have a boyfriend. & he walks off the opposite way saying, Oh well then let me know if things ever dont work out maam. & all I could think about was how nervous he seemed and how bold he was. Even though hes homeless he gathered enough courage to walk up to a girl and ask her on a date. Whats even NICER is how well he handled rejection. Then I think about some boys this generation who doesnt offer dinner and a movie, and who doesnt handle rejection well. Instead they invite girls to parties, and then talk down on a girl if they get rejected. SMH. (Im not saying Id get with someone like him if I was single, & not because he appeared to have a disability or hes poor, but because he was probably like as old as my dad. Uck, no. LOL.🙅 )
