Yesterday started off grand but fell short for us in the end. We landed (6) six trout all over (5) five pounds by 7a, with a 5.87 finally going in the box. Due to the constant west breeze, all our redfish spots that we pre-fished earlier in the week were blown out & dirty. We did lose a nice slot red @ the boat when it spit the hook. Oh well. Just wanted to put a shout out to Florida Flatsfishing Assoc & his loving wife Paula Brauer for another great tournament season. We had a great time fishing the series & always hate to see it end. It looks like we ended the season tied for 5th place The damn redfish were our nemesis this year. We either boated rats or over-slot breeders. Not bad for artificial lure guys!! With no fish off this season, some of the tournament anglers will be traveling to Islamorada this September for the annual Herman Lurcerne Memorial Backcountry Classic. Thanks to our sponsors!!!
