Yesterday the 17th of January, 2015 I let pass without commenting on or even acknowledging that yesterday was the 21st anniversary of the great Northridge earthquake here in LOS ANGELES ... Alex Johns was up from San Diego to stay ... we were both knocked on the floor from the bed. We dressed quick. I carried the old lady Irene next door down to the street. 15 minutes later she wanted back up. She had had enough so I carried her back up. She only weighed about 25 pounds so it was no effort on my part. Alex & me went driving around looking for someone to help. Everybody was fine...around us anyway.... there was no electricity so you couldnt get money from the ATM if you had any. We had some on us. Mels diner on Sunset boulevard was the only place opened for some reason - I guess they had a generator - we had omelet’s - and lots of coffee ... it was a great day - a lot of fun... for us ...
