Yesterday the Excelsior had a homicide on Mission St in broad daylight. My heart goes out to the merchants, service providers, seniors and youth and families who frequent the corridor. Still getting word about the victim; shooter is still at large. Planning a response from my office and will likely hold a townhall meeting calling on City Depts to account on how they are serving our district and what more they need to do for safety and overall community development. In calling out subsidies to he richest in this city I also say how our neighborhoods do not get the same support. The conditions of Mission St in the Excelsior are the result.
