Yesterday, the IRS warned Americans that they must have a government-approved health care plan or pay what it called a shared responsibility payment in 2015. Wow, I thought it was a tax? The term shared responsibility payment sounds very altruistic to me. Years ago, Washington DC, decided that we as citizens didnt like making payments to the Internal Revenue Service. They felt like if we made payments to the United States Treasury the term wouldnt bother us so much. They were actually right. People really disliked the IRS. Marketing...It does work. We have not only put lipstick on a pig, but adorned it with a boa, grass skirt, and Chanel #5.
