Yesterday the love of my life was freed from his earthly body. For the last 7+ years he lived trapped in a body that was not serving him. I never stopped hoping or trying to help him find improvement. Because of his strong will to fight, he did achieve more goals than were ever expected of him. Our children and I witnessed a man who wouldnt stop trying. He defied what the doctors told us back in 2007 and amazed us on more than one occasion. A few weeks ago he was tapping his chest and saying Im John to let me know that he understood what I was saying to him. I believe he waited until he felt that each one of his children were strong enough to let him go. I was so afraid that it would be too much for them to handle. They have proven to possess their dads undeniable strength and have held me together through the toughest of times. The day we were married I felt like the luckiest person in the world. I still do. I will never regret being the wife of John G. Wurm. Having his love changed me forever in ways that cannot be described. Having his children has made this world a better place. They will go on, having known the love of a father who gave his all and then some. Even as our hearts are breaking over this loss, we take comfort in knowing his love surrounds us. Until his last breath, John was tapping his foot to the beat of the music still playing in his heart. He will always and forever be in my heart. 🎶 💜
