Yesterday, the usual ACE High School trip was filled with mountain - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, the usual ACE High School trip was filled with mountain biking bliss across the super-fast (and muddy) singletracks at Beeri Reserve. We stopped at the old water tower which offers a great vantage point into the Gaza Strip and we then continued on our way for more biking. Towards the end of the afternoon we were hearing intermittent explosions, not uncommon in Israel with all of the army training going on, so we kept on pedaling. When we got back to our car we heard another boom followed by a flare racing into the overcast skies. We turned on the news and found out that yesterday alone over 60 rockets were launched from Gaza into Israel. This is the largest amount of rockets fired into Israel since Operation Cast Lead ended two years ago. All happening just over our heads as we cruised along the lovely hills and fields of Beeri. So, this is not a political post, just an observation from a Jew in Israel living here knowing that much of the world thinks it is fine for Israelis to live under constant attack. Of course, the moment we exert any amount of pressure to ensure our security the Zionist Entity is deemed immoral and oppressive. Gotta love it. Anyhow, this time of year (Adar) has always been a time of joy, courage, and triumph, let it be so this year as well. An awesome Purim to all!
