Yesterday this happened to my sister, tomorrow it can happen to yours too. Lets Stop ignoring the fact that we dont care. Lets teach them what their parents failed to do. Lets educate our own sons what aesthetics are and who WOMEN are & how do they need to respected. Lets ignore what society norms are, if they dont respect women & create new. Because We are the Society now and it will be shameful on our part if well brag about the negative things and do nothing about them Following is what happened: With a mini parchment that bore the title of a lifeline of this city, I made space for myself in the millimeters of that Bombay local compartment. Who knew that my excitement was on its way to be beheaded by disgust. There were men, the middle-class men clad in plain clothes with no sign of guilt or shame attached to their attire. I could barely move in the stuffed domain, when suddenly a man put his hand on my behind. I was terrified, and dodged him with my elbow afraid of inviting trouble. My male friend tried to cushion and protect me but due to no-space policy of the train, couldnt help much. I stared right into the wild beastly eyes of the one who assumed me to be a dead piece of meat, thinking he would back off. And he did. I thought my courage had saved me. The next ten seconds passed fine but just a minuscule before de-boarding at the next station, he felt me again and disappeared into the unseen. For the first time in my life, I felt unsafe. And yet I couldnt cry out loud when the inside of me yelled in agony. This city let me down. Are women unsafe, in Bombay too? #TrueStory
