Yesterday thought about the admonition to live every day like its your last. Thats impossible, and like saying, never plan for the future. Ha! Thats not going to get you anywhere! When youre dead, you dont get to check your social media sites daily, better get on it while you can. Went for a mountain bike ride, first real one of the this year, and first one Ive ever done wearing bike shorts. They feel good on the bike, and seem 1/3 of the way reasonable until that instant you get off the bike. As I walked through the snow patches, some quite deep, looking out for moose, I felt very silly in my hot pants and tennis shoes. Thankfully the only one to see me was the moose, earlier. Cleated bike shoes would be even worse I bet. Rode down Canfield Mountain on a road alternately snowy, icy, wet, dry, rocky, smooth, rutted, everything! It was fun varying terrain. Crushed some little snow bridges, crawled through some deep snow (much easier going down than up), flew down the dry patches. Then made some pasta with parmesan, butter and cream sauce, with chicken, with thyme, and Alicia insisted we go get some ice cream, over my ardent protests. Soft like my tennis serve. Today that chemistry quiz was not as bad as I thought it would be. The three minutes of studying before hand really helped. In physics the prof. talks about differentiation and integrals a lot and I dont really know what he means. It hasnt been important on the tests yet, and I dont think it will be, but its that stuff that I wanted to learn in taking this class, kind of. I need to get on it. Soon will rent cross country skis. Not the splitboard, sadly. Staying down in the valleys. Tomorrow, Saturday, should wake up at LMD. And visit that beach I like. Maybe even walk on the lake... a scary prospect. See some friends! How cold will it be. Its raining here, will it be snowing there?
